John D. White was born and raised on the West side of Detroit, MI. Born to James (deceased) and Gwendolyn White, John became involved in sports  at an early age, excelling on the playing field, which ultimately became his escape route out of the city. John attended Bishop Borgess High School, and attended College at Pensacola State College, and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University earning his Bachelors of Arts Degree in Business Technology. John is Fresh Lifestyle Magazine's Award Winning Author of  the book "The Black Athlete", and the Founder of the J.D. White P.L.A.Y. Foundation, where he has a vision of teaching and impacting the Youth of America, to reach for and believe in their dreams, because they are  the hope of the future.  He adores his beautiful wife Joselyn, and their son Israel.

Lindsey Benson Hunter, Jr. is a former professional basketball player, that played seventeen seasons in the National Basketball Association, playing for 6 different teams, and winning NBA Championships with the Los Angeles Lakers (2002) and the Detroit Pistons (2004). Lindsey is currently the Assistant Mens Basketball coach at the University of Buffalo.  He is married to his beautiful wife Ivy, and adores his 4 children sons Lindsey III, Lindsey IV, Caleb, and daughter Cydney. Lindsey is a Board Member of the J.D. White P.L.A.Y. Foundation.​​​

​​Kimberly L. Guise was born in Southfield, MI, and raised in Detroit, MI by James and Gwendolyn White.  Kimberly is the Executive  Administrative Assistant  of the J.D. White P.L.A.Y. Foundation.  Kimberly shares the same compassion regarding the youth all over the world, and she is a strong believer that with God being her help, all things are possible.  Kimberly is a Wholesale Lock-box Associate at J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, and she has been in the field of Banking/Administration for over 10 years. Kimberly is married to Philrico Guise, and is the proud mother of four children.

Willie B. Mitchell was born on the West side of Detroit, MI and was raised by Willie (Sr.) and Josephine Mitchell. Willie is the Vice-President  of the J.D. White P.L.A.Y. Foundation, and his focus is to impact the lives  of under-privileged youth.  Willie is the Operations Manager for Dearborn Mid-West, and he's a Journeymen Welder by trade, with 18 years of experience. He has a heart to help and mentor young men, that they would walk in their full destiny and purpose in life.  Willie is married to his beautiful wife Adale, and he's the proud father of seven children.

Kyle A. Lurvey is a native of Ann Arbor, Michigan.  He attended Taylor University where he  earned his B.S.  in Education. He taught Sociology and Computer Technology at Southfield Christian High School, where he also coached Varsity basketball and football. He is now the Recruitment Admissions counselor at Albion College.  Kyle is married to his beautiful wife Quinn.  Kyle is a Board Member of the J.D. White P.L.A.Y. Foundation.

​​​Tom Ervin spent his life as an entrepreneur, successfully starting 8 new businesses from scratch. Tom's commitment to helping inner city youth that are at risk, and in need of pure compassion is unlimited. He is married to his beautiful wife Nancy of 52 years, and they have 6 wonderful children.  Tom is a Board Member of the J.D. White P.L.A.Y. Foundation.

Thornton, Jr., is the Senior Pastor of King of Kings International, in Taylor, Michigan, and the Presiding Prelate of King of Kings International Covenant Assembly, worldwide.  He is married to the beautiful Lady Ericka, and adores his three daughters, Brianna and Vivianna (twins), and Gabrielle. Dr. Thornton is a Board Member of the J.D. White P.L.A.Y. Foundation.
